Regamet
For over 30 years, Regamet has been making metal roof tiles and trapezoidal sheets in Mielec, in south-eastern Poland. We refreshed its logo, built a brand book with a set of 48 icons, designed the stationery and a 56-page roofing catalogue.
See what changedStarting point
For over 30 years, Regamet has been producing trapezoidal sheets and metal roof tiles in Mielec. It is one of the largest and best-known roofing manufacturers in Poland, with a well-established market position. When we started working together, it had 26 company sales points, and its sheets also went to Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Belarus.
The brand was well known, but competition in the roofing market was growing. Regamet needed a more modern image: a refreshed logo and colours, new product catalogues and stationery, and a simpler message in its advertising. All so the brand would come across as stronger and more coherent.
We started with strategy workshops. Then we worked on the mark, the rules for using it and the materials, above all the catalogue, because that's where customers compare profiles, colours and specifications. Finally, we set one standard for all brand and marketing materials.
Mark
The symbol, a roof ridge with two strips of metal sheet, was recognisable, so we kept it. We corrected the proportions and shape of the whole logo so it works better in print and on screen. We also standardised the corporate colours: the red and black got fixed CMYK, RGB and HEX values, with white added to them.
We also showed the new materials with the old logo. That way the difference could be judged on real designs rather than on the mark alone.
The primary version, for all company materials. For office printing when colour printing isn't available. For black-and-white printing and engraving. On red and dark backgrounds.
The logo's clear space is x, the height of the letter R. The symbol needs half its own width.
From 35 mm, the logo is printed with the claim. Below 35 mm the claim is dropped: at that size it would be illegible. Below 20 mm only the symbol remains, never smaller than 5 mm.
Typography
Poppins is the corporate typeface, Rubik the supporting one. The pairing improves legibility and clearly separates types of information: in the catalogue you can tell straight away what's a product name and what's a specification. Both typefaces are under a free licence (Open Font License), so the company doesn't have to buy a licence for every workstation.

Catalogue
Nobody reads a roofing catalogue cover to cover. Customers flick through, look for a profile they like, then compare dimensions and colours. So every product got the same page layout: a large photo of a house with the profile name, a short description, specifications with icons and a RAL colour chart.
The catalogue got a new key visual and a new information architecture. We arranged the range into six sections. Each opens with a spread with a photo and a short introduction, and the header on every page tells you which section you're in.
Product page
As in the catalogue, every specification has its own icon, and the effective width is shown against the overall width of the sheet at a glance.

Data from the catalogue we designed. Regamet's current range is on regamet.pl.
Coatings
Regamet has three coatings you can't buy from anyone else. Instead of describing them in a wall of text, in the catalogue we took the sheet apart layer by layer and added the technical data with icons.
A polyurethane paint with a matt texture, developed together with a steel supplier and a paint manufacturer.
A gloss finish with acrylic particles that increase scratch resistance and give a grainy texture.
A matt finish on S250GD structural steel with a thicker zinc layer. The sheet is 0.54 mm thick.
Iconography
The icons work in specification tables, distinguish the types of sheet in the range and label product benefits. Each is drawn with the same thick black line and a red accent, like the symbol, so even side by side they look like one set. They make the catalogue easier to navigate, and the key product features are visible straight away.
Stationery
The business card has a white front with the details and a red back with the white mark. It's printed on 350 gsm matt coated paper, with soft touch lamination and hot foil stamping. We prepared the letterhead and business cards as files the Regamet team fills in itself, without ordering every change from a designer.
Regamet got its mark in better shape, rules that keep its use in check, and a catalogue where the key product features are visible straight away. Coherent company materials and practical catalogues reinforce its image as a leading roofing manufacturer in Poland.
The team prepares letterheads and business cards itself, in easy-to-edit files, which makes everyday work smoother.
