Hana Design
Kraków-based Hana Design furnishes offices and commercial interiors with furniture from several dozen international brands. We looked after its brand, from a logo facelift, catalogues for architects and a website with a configurator to vehicle wraps and holiday cards.
See what we didCollaboration
We started with workshops and a logo refresh. Then came catalogues, presentations, the website, vehicles, newsletters and the dozens of small jobs a brand needs every month. All of them were done by the same team, which knew the identity by heart.

Logo facelift
The brand was well known, so there was no reason to change it. But the handwritten “hana” in a thin line wasn't always legible, and the logo had only one version, which was hard to fit on a folder, a car or a website header.
We balanced the proportions between “hana” and “design”, and added a minimalist symbol derived from the shape of a piece of furniture, as well as a horizontal version. Black and white were joined by greys and copper gold, and a serif typeface was added to the sans serif.
The serif secondary typeface underlines the brand's experience and its premium character.
Company materials
The identity mustn't compete with the furniture, which is often colourful and interesting in form. That's why the printed materials are quiet: black through-dyed paper, plenty of space and one accent, copper gold. On the business cards it's hot stamping, foil pressed into the paper with heat. The wide range is shown with line icons of furniture: a chair, a desk, a chest of drawers, an armchair and a lamp, drawn with a thin line.

For architects
Architects and interior designers choose the furniture for their projects, so they decide where the client buys. Before the new website was built, we ran a survey among them. We received 13 replies, and they set the project's priorities.
3D and CAD models, dimensions and technical drawings. Without them, a product can't be placed in a visualisation.
In the configurator, the fabric and the price of the chosen variant matter most, and only then the mechanism and frame colour.
Price, colour, height and depth, material, room and style.
8 out of 13 people wanted the brands' catalogues and materials collected on the supplier's website.

Website with a configurator
In the menu, next to the product categories, we highlighted specific brands to make products easier to reach. The hardest part of designing the website was how different the furniture is. A chair has upholstery and a frame, a desk has a top and legs, a reception counter has melamine and metal. We designed a configurator structure that fits all of them.
On the product page, the customer picks variants from a swatch window, sees only their own selection and adds the product to an enquiry. The enquiry works like a basket, but instead of going to payment it goes to a sales rep. Next to it are technical data, swatches and downloads: 2D and 3D models in DWG, 3DS and SKP, the brand catalogue and textures.

Vehicle wraps
That's Hana Design's tagline, and the vehicles of its sales reps and fitters carry it all over the city. The wrap extends the stroke from the logo: “hana” runs along the whole side, with furniture icons from the catalogue below it. First came a Fiesta car, and when the fleet grew, a Ducato van in the same style.

Front
Hana Design got a consistent, calm premium brand image, a website that's easy to expand with new brands and products, and tools that architects reach for when working on a project.
New materials never started from scratch. They were made by a team that knew the brand's identity and needs, kept an eye on print quality and coordinated reprints in one place.
